# How to CREATE your GAUGECASH Wallet

**1.-** Go to [www.gaugecash.org](https://gaugecash.gitbook.io/gaugecash/gaugecash-1/gaugecash-wallet-user-guide-on-desktop/www.gaugecash.org)

**2.-** Click on Launch app.

**3.-** Click on Get Started.

**4.-** Create a password and repeat it.

**5.-** Download the backup file. Store it in a safe place. You’ll need it to import your wallet on any device.

***NOTE:** The file you download when you create a GAUGECASH Wallet contains the encrypted information to restore and/or import your wallet to any device. Your PASSWORD is the **ONLY WAY** to access the encrypted file to restore your wallet. We **CAN NOT** recover any lost PASSWORD.*&#x20;

**6.-** Set up a 4-digit pin and repeat it.

**7.-** Congratulations! You are a GAUGECASH Wallet user now.  &#x20;
