# GAUGECASH wallet user guide on desktop

GAUGECASH service is all about DECENTRALIZATION. Please, read these security suggestions very carefully.

1. YOU and nobody but YOU own your private keys to the GAUGECASH wallet. 
2. The file you download when you create a GAUGECASH Wallet contains the encrypted information to restore and/or import your wallet to any device. Your PASSWORD is the **ONLY WAY** to access the encrypted file to restore your wallet. We **CAN NOT** recover any lost PASSWORD. 
3. The GAUGECASH Wallet is meant to swap GAU for USDT and Matic for USDT and to send and receive GAU worldwide in seconds for the lowest gas possible. 
4. Having Matic in it is for gas purposes. We strongly recommend you store your big purchases of GAUI in a cold wallet since the GAUGECASH Wallet is meant to be used for daily payments.
